Anderson & Associates' FTP site allows clients and friends to upload to or download from the A&A web server through FTP (File Transfer Protocol). FTP is a standard internet transaction, and can be achieved with any FTP program. Though FTP programs may look different from one another, many will have a setup screen that looks similar to the screen below.
Standard information for setting up a session with A&A's FTP site is as follows:
- Profile Name: This is for your benefit, so select a title that will be descriptive enough for you. Ex. A&A FTP site
- Host Name/Address: ftp.andassoc.com
- Host Type: Automatic detect
- User ID: Anonymous
- Password: Enter your internet e-mail address. Ex. joesmith@abc.com
Once you have entered this profile information and initiated the connection, you will be able to upload files to the "upload" directory. Though FTP programs may have different ways to accomplish the file transfer, you should be able to select the files from your hard drive or network and transfer them to A&A's "upload" directory.
Note: You will only be able to upload files to the "upload" directory, and download files from the "public" directory. Some users may access the internet through a firewall or a proxy server. These users may need to configure their settings differently; contact the network administrator for your company/organization for assistance.
