Anderson & Associates has been busy designing Phase II of the Wytheville, VA Heritage Walk Project. Once complete, the Heritage Walk will connect Withers Park and Elizabeth Brown Park by way of a pedestrian path. Phase I of the project has already been constructed, and connects Withers Park to Main Street. Phase II will continue on to
Elizabeth Brown Memorial Park.
Withers Park is a central area for the Town of Wytheville, VA. It offers areas for fellowship, a playground, a Wall of Honor paying tribute to Wythe County’s heroes, and walking trails.
Elizabeth Brown Memorial Park boasts a variety of open space and trees, a covered shelter with picnic tables, bathroom facilities, gazeboes and even a covered stage. It is a beautiful setting for any event.
Soon, Wytheville citizens will be able to easily walk from one park to the other by using the new pedestrian path, which when completed, will include the use of pavers, improved lighting, kiosks, benches and murals. Construction of phase II should begin in 2016.
