Anderson & Associates is a high tech company. In fact, we were one of the first engineering firms to establish a presence on the World Wide Web. Computers are on every desk and all systems are networked with access to the Internet. This enhances our communications within each office, between offices, and externally with our clients by employing email, video-conferencing and other enhanced technologies. This computerization allows us to expand our engineering capabilities and make use of new resources, such as satellite imagery and digital mapping. Almost all of our work in produced in digital form. Automation is our key to providing cost-effective solutions quickly and efficiently to our clients.
Since 1980 we have invested heavily in all aspects of computerization for design functions. Virtually all of our work is done digitally, with tremendous benefit to our clients. All computers are connected to each other through a Local Area Network (LAN) and to our branch offices through Wide Area Networks (WAN). This connectivity allows us to communicate very well internally, especially through use of our email system. We have video conferencing capabilities with NetMeeting software, and the use of Internet Protocol Telephony over our frame relay network to reduce the costs of phone calls between offices which allows us to share work easily with all clients and keeps all members of the team up-to-date.
