and Bedford Main Street on streetscape improvements along Depot, Washington and South
streets.
Montgomery County, Va. -
Providing professional design services to the County and Public Service Authority under a
term contract arrangement for one year with option to renew for two additional years.
Town of Pulaski, Va. -
Working with Hill Studio and K. W.
Poore and using CDBG and local funds to provide engineering and architectural services for
the downtown renovation project. The scope of work includes topographic and boundary
surveys, design of building facades, streetscape improvements, drainage and street
improvements, utility adjustments, fiber installation, housing production, and
coordination with local officials and business owners.
Town of Purcellville, Va.
- Providing topographic surveying services and preparing base mapping for
the section of Main Street between 21st Street and Hatcher Avenue, along
20th Street, and adjacent streets in support of various area
improvements being planned.
Town of Rural Retreat, Va. -
Preparing plans and contract documents and providing construction contract administration
for Phases 2 and 3 of the Towns TEA funded sidewalk and bike lane improvements along
Route 90, or Main Street, totaling approximately 1750 linear feet. |

Out and About A&A
Project Engineer Scarlett Kitts has been mentoring
students for the past two years at Mendenhall Middle School in Greensboro, NC. Scarlett worked with Science
teacher Garriot Rose and 11 students for five months to build a "Future City"
for the Regional Future City Competition. On January 29, the Mendenhall students won the
state competition in Raleigh. The team will advance to the national level, competing in National Engineers Week Future City Competition
in Washington,
DC.
... A&A was presented with the North Carolina Society of Surveyors (NCSS) plat
contest award, winning first place in topographic, at the NCSS Convention in Raleigh
on February 4.
... Were proud to announce that A&A
received The American Council of Engineering Companies of
Virginias (ACEC/V) Engineering Excellence Grand Award (Category C) for the
Riverway Trail project in Radford. A&A also
received the Honor Award (Category D) for the Town Run Utilities project in Winchester. The award ceremony was held at the
Richmond Downtown Marriott on February 3.
