We're Working For...

Augusta County Service Authority, Va.- Term contract renewal for one year to provide miscellaneous water and wastewater engineering services for Authority projects.

Caroline County Va., Tourism Center- Preparing the surveys, environmental studies, and final site engineering drawings for the Caroline County Tourism Center, funded by a TEA-21 grant, located in the Carmel Church area of the County. Working in cooperation with Herlong Associates, architect for the project.

Sit-In Movement, Inc., Freelon Group Architects, Greensboro International Civil Rights Museum - Working in cooperation with Freelon Group Architects and Weaver-Cooke Construction to provide survey services of existing conditions for the floors, surrounding street, buildings and utility locations, and interior control surveys for escalators in the old Greensboro, N.C. Woolworth’s store, scene of the first Sit-In Movement.

Silver Companies - Working on the preliminary grading plan for a proposed 68-acre Home Depot site in Fredericksburg, Va.

Town of Dumfries, Va. - Providing plan review services for development and commercial projects to assist Town staff.

Town of Rural Retreat, Va.- Providing professional design services for 700 feet of sidewalk, curb and gutter, and associated appurtenances along North Greever Street.


Community

The 12th annual New River Valley Spelling Bee took place on September 24. This event was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Montgomery County, Va., and coincided with National Literacy Month. This year John Appelquist, Valerie Harper, and Heather Porterfield represented A&A, placing second in the competition. Congratulations to all who were involved!
