to the Lukmire Partnership, providing surveying, civil/site design, and environmental
impact reviews for a new 53,500 sf Learning Resources Center (LRC) and a 4,500 sf
single-story Maintenance Services Building (MSB).
Washington County
Industrial Development Authority (IDA), Washington County, Va. - Providing a
preliminary engineering report, master plan design, strategic development/marketing plan,
and on-going prospect proposals and site plans as needed for a 24-acre site near Damascus,
Virginia.
Camp JayCee
Wastewater Treatment Plant, Blueridge, Va. - Evaluating the existing wastewater
treatment plant to determine the extent of repairs necessary and assisting the Camp with
the funding application.
Community
11th Annual New River Valley Corporate Spelling Bee
The eleventh annual New River Valley Corporate Spelling Bee, sponsored by the Rotary
Club of Montgomery County, Va., was held Friday morning, September 26 th, 2003. The spelling bee coincides with National Literacy
Month and helps raise funds for local literacy and other Rotary-sponsored projects.
Representing A&A were Mary Ann Bonadeo, Kelly Connoley, and Paula Moore. Ten teams competed, and numerous local
businesses sponsored the event. Executive Vice President Chip Worley also helped coordinate the effort. The
winner of the event was the team from The
Roanoke Times. Congratulations to all who were involved!
GIS Day 2003: Our Community-Our Decision!
Please come see us for GIS DAY on November 19,
2003. This event is scheduled in conjunction with the American
Planning Associations World
Town Planning Day. The free event will be held at the Montgomery
County Government Center located at 755 Roanoke Street in Christiansburg, Virginia.
Several indoor and outdoor events are being planned including demonstrations and
presentations from local speakers. The event will be from 9-5 and everyone is invited.
