Steve Lauziere:  All Things Electronic
by Susan Moore
Many people presumably don’t first think of Information Technology Services when they think of Anderson &
Associates (A&A), but they probably do think "technology". That’s because at A&A, technology plays a vital role in how we operate, both internally and externally. And now, A&A has a new face leading the Information Technology Team. Lauziere enjoys camping and hiking in his spare time.

Steve Lauziere has been with the firm since February of 2000. He chose the Information Technology field because of the rapid growth of electronics and technology, and the wide range of topics, disciplines, and specialties. He enjoys the ability to have both hands-on and high level views of this field, a field that is an everyday challenge. According to Steve, the most interesting parts of his job are the opportunities to utilize the latest technology available and the people he interacts with, both clients and fellow employees. Working as Project Manager at A&A provides him the opportunity to make a difference and have an impact on current technology, as well as the occasion to help point clients in the direction they need to go in order to advance and grow with this information technology age. To Steve, the technological revolution has accelerated the growth, learning, and advancements of the whole world.

Steve gained previous experience at Nortel Networks in North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park. While with Nortel, Steve worked on the software design and testing of Voice over IP (VoIP) and Switched Lines over ATM (SLoA) solutions for carrier networks. This included the design and debugging of common telephony features, such as Call Waiting and Three Way Call. He also gained experience as a Systems Technician with the Richmond City Police Department. During this time, Steve helped with the configuration management of new and existing systems, as well as migrating systems to Year 2000 Compliance.

When he isn’t concentrating on IT issues, Steve has many hobbies including camping, hiking, and fishing. He is also a hobbyist of all things electronic. His latest home project is the hardware and software design of a firewall appliance. Steve is a hands-on person who likes to build anything, no matter how big or small.

ESOP Nourishes Our Future
by Heather Porterfield
October marks a time of celebration - it is Employee Ownership Month! At
Anderson & Associates we celebrate the spirit of employee ownership and the value of each employees' contribution to our organization. This year A&A will be honoring our unique ownership status through various activities, including our annual Trick or Treat drive for canned food that is donated to local food banks.

To A&A employees and clients, the value of our ESOP lies in the relationships and the commitments that exist between people. As owners, A&A employees are particularly concerned about upholding the firm’s good reputation and keeping you as a satisfied client. Through our open-book management, employees are also involved in the day-to-day management decisions of the company and truly fill the role of owners in our organization.

To learn more about A&A’s ESOP contact Mary Ann Bonadeo, A&A project manager and ESOP chair, at 800-763-5596 or at bonadeo@andassoc.com. Additional information is also available at www.esopassociation.org. &
