We're Working for...

Wythe County, VA. Providing engineering services for the water line extension from Graham's Forge to Fort Chiswell. The project involves the construction of approximately 20,000 linear feet of 10" water main and one pump station to connect the two systems providing water service to approximately 75 new customers. The project is funded with over $1.1 million in grants and low interest loans by Rural Development.

Town of Blacksburg, VA, Sturbridge Square Wastewater Pump Station: providing design, plans, and specifications for replacing the existing pumping station with a new 350 gpm pumping station. Alleghany Water Booster Station: providing hydraulic calculations, design, plans, and specifications to replace an existing booster station that will be demolished as a part of the Clay Street Improvements construction.

Virginia Department of Transportation, three utility relocations: Washington Co. VA, for the improvements to Route 700. The job involves the relocation of approximately 2200 linear feet of water line. Buchanan Co., for the design of over 7,100 feet of water line and approximately 830 feet of sewer line to eliminate conflicts with the proposed widening of US Route 460 at Deel, VA. Salem, VA, for designing the relocation of water and sanitary sewer facilities associated with roadway improvements on Route 613 in Roanoke Co.

Clayton & Kacie Hodges new A&A Blacksburg project engineers. Both recently taught a short course on Computational Methods in Storm Water Management sponsored by the Virginia Tech Continuing Education Center. They both specialize in hydrology and surface water runoff.

Lake Holston Clean-Up

A&A Tri-Cities, Tennessee, employees clean up a portion of the South Holston Lake area in Bristol, TN.
