Anderson & Associates, Inc. has performed data collection for asset management services on all Interstate roadways in Virginia including baseline collection (100% asset count and inspection per 1/10 mile segment) and periodic performance evaluation.  Inspections included mainline, ramps, collectors, HOV lanes, and special facilities.  The data gave a comprehensive number and condition of the assets for the prospective bidders of the maintenance contracts.

We also collected data and assisted with evaluation of portions of the interstate, primary and secondary roadways in Virginia for the Random Condition Assessment (RCA) project, which totaled approximately 10,000 1/10 mile segments. We have developed sophisticated programs for tablet PC data collection that allows inspection of only those assets needed to exactly meet a 95% confidence level that our samples represent the condition of the entire system.

The data collected was run through a QA/QC process and then evaluated to see if the maintenance contractor was achieving their contractual performance targets.
